Hi all,

I have the auxiliary heating/ventillation option in my E60 (04/2008) and until now everything was just fine. Since a week or two the remote doesn't seem to be working though, I can't switch on or off the ventillation/heater system remotely, only by timing or direct operation via Idrive.
Has anyone came across this problem yet? I figured I'll ask you guys first before I go to the dealer...
Thanks

My Ride: '04 530d Executive, all options except sunroof and comfort seats ECU remapped by ZipTuning to 260+bhp.

@Jagohu:
I had this too.
I replaced my battery and the remote didn't seem to do anything.
I let it sit on the couch for a couple of minutes and started fiddling with the keys.
Mine started working by holding the "Mode" button for about 30 seconds. The light came on and the On/Off buttons worked again.

@525_DAT:
You need to go to the dealer to let your car learn the new remote control. This is obvious, otherwise you would just buy a remote and you could control any 5-series diesel there is out there.

You can't do it on your own, seriously, just stop by a BMW dealer, they should have it programmed in 5 minutes.
