Aux vs CD/DVD MP3 Playback
Hi guys, I need something clarified.
I had my car coded last year for MP3 playback on the CD and DVD players. I thought that this automatically enables the Aux port (if available.) Since I didn't have the AUX cable, I figured I shouldn't see it yet.
I just ordered the Aux cable. Once installed, will "AUX" be visible on the CCC or should I already see it now even though the hardware is not there? Will I have to get it re-programmed?
I could have sworn I read a bunch of threads where it was said that AUX and DVD/CD MP3 playback require the same coding...

When they added +KMP3 they should have added +NAUX. Needs to be done to the main control modules not just the CCC. It needs to be written on the vehicle order (CAS/LM) then you can just encode the entire car and it will automatically select all the modules that need to be changed. There are 5 from the CCC that will need to be adapted.
