I was looking in the glove box and according to the owner's manual I located the flashlight. But the manual never mentions the AUX input and what looks like the valet key. I have attached a picture.

that must be the infamous comfort access key fob/holder...
if you have comfort access, then the 3rd key = sticking the valet key into the mock key fob/holder found in the glove box.

that key fob is for you to use your wallet key and start your car in an emergency use only.

you do not need comfort access to use that, just the wallet key, that thin little small black plastic looking key that came with your set of keys.

That makes sense. I guess you just insert that plastic key into the key fob from the glove compartment.

Is the AUX input to the left of it?

the aux input is behind the center compartment, it looks like it was for children for the back to stick in there ipod. if you sit in the back seat and look at the bottom of the center console, you should find your answer. in between the two cigarette adapters.

Thanks, I know. But I thought in the 07's, there is an AUX input in the glovebox so later I could purchase the Ipod adaptor (once BMW comes out with it) so that I could connect my Ipod and leave it in the glovebox. Now I could operate the Ipod through the I-drive.

Nope, the 07's got the aux input between the cigarette lighters in the back. BMW only put the aux in the glove compartment as a dealer add on in 06's and earlier. I do not believe that the IPOD adaptor will plug into the aux. It should be hardwired somewhere else allowing Idrive interface.
