I have an 09' 535i, non-nav, with the ipod adaptor. The cable attaches to the usb port and the 3.5mm jack in the arm rest, and I have my 160gb iPod attached to it. Those appear to be the only inputs in the system.

On the iDrive, when I go to the AUX input, there appears to be both my iPod and an "AUX IN". Is there another auxilliary input somewhere on the head unit? I had an 08 that had the 3.5mm jack on the back of the center console, but this one only has jacks inside the armrest.

My reason for caring is this: I have both the aforementioned ipod and an iPhone. I'd like to play the MLB app from the phone and not have to dig into the armrest and unplug the ipod every time. Not to mention it's impossible to navigate the iphone while plugged in that way.

Thanks for the help!

Check the glove box for the 3.5mm jack.

I didn't see anything in the glove box. There's a hard plastic door that's about 1cm by 2cm, but it's fastened on pretty good. Is that the spot?
