Dropped off car for inspection today and asked about addition of AUX input to 530xi (2006), no CDC, No Nav. Dealer here in Ottawa quoted me $550 (3 1/2 h of labor and 120 for hardware). Seems pricey to me...not sure if this includes some reprogramming of iDrive. What are you guys paying?

That sounds about right, I was quoted a similar price in Winnipeg. It's stupid expensive for what you get.
If your going to spend the $ get this instead

I was going to buy a GW 500 but they are so expensive ?360, my OEM kit is only costing me ?165+Vat. I only use Ipod so I am not too bothered about the other connections. I recon the dealer will charge me about 1 hours labor to code the car once I have fitted it, I will ask tomorrow when I collect it.

He wont be able to use the Dension anyway. And if that is what his dealer is charging for AUX, I don't even want to hear what they charge for CDC programming. You need a new dealer Mate.
