Need help from members on what to do next. Picked up the car from the dealer hoping it works. This time I will be leaving my ipod with the dealer.
Good thing they did not charge me any thing for the three hours they took to install which was great.

[/quote]I had the AUX fitted a few weeks ago - no sound what so ever. I'm taking the car in next week so they can fix it. I was chaged for it as they couldn't test it at the garage.
I've had that and it has been fixed. There was a problem with the original installation manual that the dealer downloads. If they download it now, the wiring is slightly different and it works.
Good luck.
Good luck.

The dealer just called and nothing they can do. They have called Apple to see if it should work on Canadian spec BMW which is BS.

It is a regular 3,5mm mini-jack input where you can connect everything that gives an audio signal!
Not just an iPod.
So, Apple will probably tell them to turn up the volume on your ipod or use the belkin charger/amplifier.
On mine they did a software upgrade and after that it worked.

I had the same problem - actually mine worked and then disappeared the next day completely. After reprogrommaing the AUX-Input was shown in the idrive menu but there was no sound at all. My dealer did the software update again and the problem was solved.

If they're calling Apple tech support, run, don't walk, as far away as you can from that dealer!!!!
