Automatic window problems in BMW?

My Ride: 2006 530xi 12/05 production, monaco blue/gray, steptronics, premium, cold weather.

Hi everyone, I am a new owner of 530xi, and a heavy user of window rolldown function. I rolled down the driver side window at least four or five times a day. Do they fail a lot on BMW? My Chevy did that and it cost lots of money to fix it.

My Ride: '04 545iS 6 spd, bought new via eBay, 11/05; Blk/Gry, Cold, L7, PDC, BMW Rear seatcover for pets. First "Bumwa" was a new 1971 2002. High performance 5s since 1987. Beamer motorcycles too, currently on an 07 BMW K1200 GT; also a Moto Guzzi 1000 SP III.

Welcome. I'm not aware of window-use/wear-related problems, but you may want to search for related window topics. The only issue raised here is the occasional glitch in the safety-stop software that prevents the window from closing. Mine did that once, and shutting the car off, lowering the window all the way and then raising it again, cured it. But check the search files. I think you'll find this a lot more car than your Chevy.
