when you set the automatic ventilation to switch on, does the air only be hot or can you set cold air to come out?

Only ventilation is available, as for cold air the air condition needs to run, which requires the engine to run.

Are you guys absolutely sure that it is only moving air and not providing some cooling as well?

I have used the Independent Ventilation option on some murderously hot days where the air temp. feels extremely high, and yet I have found the car interior to be noticably cooler than one would expect simply from shifting air.

Since I picked up the manual at the dealer I have studied it really hard.. I cannot find anything about automatic ventilation besides what they tell about the option of interior preheating....

Where in the I-Drive can you find the settings so I can look it up in my manual???

Yes, Yes, Yes. You need to be in key position 1 and you can check whatever box you want and it works. Thanks Guys for the info!

This feature has bugged me a little bit. I always fear if I enable the automatic mode it'll drain my battery especially if the car is not used for a long time.

Is the system smart enough not to drain/kill itself?
