Automatic Transmission upshifts too early

Does anyone have problem with your transmission after updating software which makes the transmission upshift as much as it can? This causes slow throttle respond. When I want to accelerate immediately, it has some delay before revving up rpm. Is the problem going away in a couple of weeks like the BMW technician said so?
Please help. If the problem still exists even after a few weeks, I'll consider this car sucks after SW updating.
Thanks.

My car does the same. I don't mind it because it drives really relaxed. If you want better throttle response and higher rpms use the sportmode.

When they do a software update, the driver settings are deleted. So the transmission has to learn again. The car will learn how you drive and will set the shiftpoints, etc. So after driving a little bit it will get better.
My car did the same, and the mpg went down dramatically. But after driving it for a week everything was back to normal again.

Ahh thats what's happening.
Encountered the same problem with my previous E60 and always wondered what it was.
Thanks.

I went in for an emissions recall and delayed acceleration, came out with a vibration at 1500 rpm(Automatic) as if it shifts too early and lugs in the gear. The shop foreman said BMW is aware of the situation and will have a fix in software ver 15.2 this month.
