Automatic adjusting side mirror while in reverse issue

My Ride: In a place where the Mercedes density is the highest in the world (no. of MB per square kilometer) I choose a Bimmer, why? because of one thing "The Ultimate Driving Experience"

Well the official answer is:
The mirror would stop going down if the adjusting mirror switch is on the passenger side.
If the button on my car is on the left, it wouldn't go down when I put the car in reverse as my car is RHD

The selector switch must be in the left position. The right (passenger in the US) mirror will tilt down when in reverse. If the selector switch is in the right position, the right mirror is stationary.
