250 kmh every time I do a trip ... 260 kmh of speedometer (remapped but still limited @250 kmh) .

Only 126 in Deutscheland was breaking the beast in. Four months later in the U.S. hit 142. I'll top it out next spring. :D

258 km/h indicated, 245 km/h on the GPS. Car is completely standard 530d.

210-220 km/h is actually effortless - saw it a couple of times tonight during a 350 km drive back from near the Czech border.

Supersprint exhaust and K&N filter the only mods ...as yet.

240 km/h on speedo - 233 km/h on GPS, with fifth gear in gearbox, till rev limiter. Sixth is useless on mine when trying top speed.

The last time I did 240, our forum member and friend of mine Andy545 was at the passenger's seat :)

I picked up my 545i in Europe and was able to drive 130mph through parts of Slovinia. I realized then what the car was built for, how much better it drove (all the controls, respnsiveness, plus I had much more pwoer to go) and how much overkill it was for the US. The SMG shifters were escpecially usefull going through the tunnels in souther Italy - my hands were frozen to the whell at those speeds!

Nick, have you done any dyno- tests how much the engine has gained from those mods ?
Was your 240 km/h with the M- kit or with the original ?

186MPH on the HUD & 181 on the GPS back in May, whilst hooning along the Autobahn to Nurburgring. My pals 996 GT3 Front Splitter decided to fly off in front of me at this speed & i can confirm that i shat my pants.

Also hit a timed 180MPH at a VMAX event a couple of weeks ago.

Both these speeds are in my E60 M5 (DMS'd & de-limited).

Yes, with the M kit ...and M mirrors, mirrors aerodynamic gain is equal to 3 hp at that speed. Believe it or not. :thumbsup:
No dyno test yet.
