Hi,

Great to find an Aussie E60 SUB FORUM

I have a 2004 530i and just purchased a Carbon Fibre AUTO SHIFT GEAR KNOB off Ebay.
Has anybody had a go at doing this Mod or have any links to show how its done??
:)

for the gear knob, you have to pull it vertically real hard, it might feel like it wont come off or its going to break, but it will come off and it wont break. its easier pushing the new knob back in for some reason

guys just for the heads up. i went through a fairly deep pot hole last week, since then the air kept coming off the tyres. i went to good year tyre repair centre and found out it was a bent rim.

so then i went to advance wheels in moorabbin to have them take a look at it, they first reckon itll cost $200-$300 then decided they couldnt fix it.

so then i dropped by neway wheel repairs in heideburg, unbelievable, they fixed it!

it was done within the day and for only $80 !! ive been driving with it on for about a week now and its perfect. really recommend them

Hi fellow Aussies!

I'm from Melbourne too, and I'm going to take delivery of a 2005 530i M Sport in Carbon Black, this week.

It will be primarily the wife's daily driver, but our weekend family car.

The car drives beautifully and the N52 motor is a very slick 3.0L indeed.

I wish I could have stretched my budget a bit further and bought a 550i, but maybe we will trade up to one in a couple years time :)

Further to my post above, do all you other aussie 5 series owners have the two 8" woofers under your front seats?

I'm told all Aussie 5-series vehicles came with these subwoofers under the seats?!

I don't know if it's two subs... but I know it's definitely there when I'm listening to Linkin Park! LOL
