Audio System Crackle / skips when outside temp gets above 80 degrees
OK guys, my audio system occasionally crackles and skips like an old LP on a turntable when the outside temperature gets above 80 degrees or so. Seems to happen when the car is parked in the sun and gets heat soaked. Engine temp or vehicle speed doesn't seem to matter. Happens on AM / FM / Satellite / Denison Bluetooth.
Everything was fine all winter, as soon as it got warm here in NC it started again. It began last year and seems worst this year.
I'm considering removing the cover in the truck and see if additional air flow around the components helps any. Also, could I pull the power from the satellite radio and or jumper around the optical leads would I just get an error message or more of a problem? I would like to try to eliminate things one at a time.
I appreciate any thoughts or experience.

OK, a little more information. I removed the left side cover in the trunk and installed a PC case fan blowing on the amplifier. That seemed to make things better so I replace the amp. No change. Did a bunch of searching and it appears some people have had some issues with the TCU that's located next to the amp. I pulled all the insulation from around the TCU, so basically the left side of the trunk is wide open. That seemed to help last night. I plan on installing another fan on the TCU to see if I can make a significant change. I want be a bit more comfortable before paying for a TCU. And, if I'm not mistaken, the entire car will need to be coded.
