Anyone ever run into issues of unable to unmute the the audio? Can't seem to select anything in entertainment either, seems like the rest of idrive works...

Thanks in advance!

Yes, but only for the first few minutes after starting the car when it sat for a day or two There is data contention on the K_CAN (CANBUS) that slows everything down.

It wont let me select any other entertainment source either, just flat locked in FM and MUTE, is there a way to reset the iDrive? pretty annoying! Now I know what people meant when they said the idrive is horrible lol!

Ugh. No. That's some other problem. To reset the iDrive (CIC reset): press and hold the volume knob and the eject button. On the newer CIC you simply need to press and hold the volume knob for 25 seconds.

Reset by pressing the volume knob, and both eject keys at the same time and holding them all down until the screen goes out.

So I finally had a chance to actually try something, after 5 seconds of sitting in the car I realized I don't have 2 eject buttons, I don't have a NAV system in mine, only the CD and the CD changer...

Should I pull the battery for a few minutes? It seems to be stuck in FM mode cant switch to anything else and will not unmute... sat is also greyed out...which is weird because it did work perfectly fine too...
