Default 08 550i p0120 please help!

I keep having an ongoing issue with this code. I put in a brand new battery, that didn't help. I put a new oem throttle body, that helped a little. I spliced a new connector on the throttle body harness that worked for 2 weeks or so now the code comes back and my car goes into limp mode.
Is there something I'm missing? Please help!

I think that that code is generic for throttle pedal position sensor. Perhaps the sensor on the pedal is bad.

Probably, but have you had the throttle position sensor checked?

isn’t the throttle position sensor on the side of the throttle body? That was the first thing I replaced

Yes, but I mean the actual pedal in the driver compartment. Perhaps the pedal itself is defective.

Looks like you need to get someone to read the codes with a BMW specific code reader. Somehow, now, I think that you might have an issue with the harness which you say you spliced and it worked for 2 days.
