Hello all

I get these weird beeps from my speakers. It will always go off while I'm driving or parked. I will try to articulate the beeps through words as dumb as it sounds. beep beep beep beeeeeeep. Now with Morse code . . . -

This seems very dumb and I hope I am not the only one who hears these phantom beeps.

Vehicle: 04' 530i sport
75k miles

Thanks again.

your car is talking to you, it says mod me!

are you getting any error messages? under check control messages.

or is it below 37 degrees and the slick road warning?

do you have the hour notifier on? It will give you 3 or four beeps at the 59th minute of every hour.

It's the chime for the top of the hour! It can be turned off and on through the Idrive!

Could it be the Hour memo? Manual says you will hear three tones just before each full hour.

In iDrive:
1. Open the "i" menu
2. Select "Display settings" and press the controller
3. Select "Time" and press the controller
If there's a check mark in Hour memo, it is turned on.

Yea it started spelling "mod me" with morse code...lol

I do have control messages for the SOS and brake fluid change message but, I've had the beeps before the brake fluid change message and after SOS message. Bought the car used so the SOS message has always been there since I bought the vehicle last September.
