I don't care for it. I prefer black on black. But that's why they make various choices- different strokes for different folks.

All black is just a cleaner more streamlined look to me.

I love the color. My single bit of advice is DO NOT DECIDE BASED ON PIC'S POSTED ON THIS FORUM. The pictures do not do it justice. The real Auburn is a darker color than the bright orange that is showing up on these postings. I was in the same shape but decided anyway.

In the two weeks I have had the car I have had numerous compliments on the interior color. The color of the seats plus the contrast with the black carpeting and trim are really nice.

One additional suggestion is to get the anthracite headliner. Pulls the entire package together nicely.

I currently has Beige interior on Alpine White, and I'll go for Auburn Interior next time when "535i" bi-turbo comes out.

Thank you all for your insights.
I guess it all boils down to uniqueness. Auburn is never a boring color for an interior, but one could never go wrong with black either. I am happy to see many of our members are very pleased with Auburn. I think I may rock in those auburn seats, they just too cool~

I know that this may casue another bit of annoyance, but would you get Active Steering once again? I am starting to dislike this feature because of its artificial feel for driving. I can also hear minor statics behind the actual steering wheel when making quiet turns. If there isn't much changes to the AS on the 07's compared to my 06, I might as well stick with the oldschool BMW steering system..better feel and more natural repsponse to road conditions.

Thanks again fivers!!

I would get AS again, hands down. I just did a canyon run with some wicked S turns, never shifting to 4th gear. It was all 2nd and 3rd gear driving. The AS didn't affect me at all.

IMHO, I think Auburn looks best with a white interior.

No question, I'd order it again. I think the Auburn seating/door surfaces and Black dash/carpet/upper door panels provide a rich contrast that is luxurious, sporty and handsome.
