On 16"s though?

Not ideal and weakest point on looks but I am pragmatic about it and having been worn out three sets of tyres probably better off for it. The ride is completely fine except for the odd expansion joint. Anyway it wasnt that long ago that 13"s were then norm on family cars.

True. However, the E60 looks best with 18" minimum - I find the ride on mine fine too, but I did come from a rock solid poor riding Vauxhall!

/Pedant mode on/

I thought there were seven colour choices on the M-Sport in the UK :
And you are of course correct . Didn't count the non-met's, they never even came to mind if I'm honest. Have only ever seen one e60 sport in green, none at all in non-mets.

On the motorways in the UK, i see numerous E60's being various models. I do see far more Se than M-Sport models though.

Ok - I spent the weekend in Cuckfield, hence saw a C Black 525i in one of the driveways in H Heath a few times.

Thanks but will chop it in for another in a couple of years time when I have taken it past the 100,000 mile mark and by then the 18" might be standard. We are already halfway there on wheel size increaments.

All the E60 around me (five in two streets) are the SE model. The BMW S/H pages on their web-sites dont show any real marked difference from original values for the SE as opposed to the M Sport. In the S/H market its as much about the extras added and the miles the car has covered & its condition, like any other self respecting cars.
