I'm about to start looking for new tires for my M166 rims. I'm using CSC3's at the moment but want to see if anyone on the forum is using run-flat-tires with the M166 rims?

If so, please share info/price/opinions of them.

Thanks!!

The general consensus on this forum is that run flats suck. Any particular reason why you'd want to run them?

run flats suck? Well, doesn't the F10 only come with runflats with no spare tire in the back?

That's not to say that people are happy about it.

Consensus from performance experts is that runflats provide much rougher ride.

I had run flats but took it out when i put in my 20 inch rims, good thing i did because i was driving from san diego to sacramento the other night its like a 500 mile drive anyways i had a flat in the middle of nowhere at about 2 in the morning. don't think the run flats 50 mile radius would of help much. my spare tire got me back for the rest of the 200 miles.

That's good to know you had a spare tire. Now, with the new F10, there isn't a spare nor room for one. I wonder what F10 drivers are supposed to do if they get caught in the middle of nowhere at 2AM?

I do not imagine how it would feel to drive with 19" and runflats... Even on 18" it is too harsh on Chicago roads, it feels like you drive on rims. it might be coincidence but my both rear rims cracked with runflats within 2 months, I have winter tires on them now, so far so good.
