How about;

* Programmed none, use them frequently
* Would like to use, but my arms are short and stumpy and I can't reach them
* Would like to use, but my fingers are too fat so I cannot push one button at a time

?
my kind of logic

two favourite radio stations, home phone, office phone, wife's work, USB

I find it quite useful, especially when Idrive is doing something else, ie. PDC.
My setup is similar.

#1 iPod
#2 Radio Station
#3 Radio Station
#4 Call Home
#5 Call Voicemail
#6 Nav destination: Home.

I only wish we had the 8 button setup sold elsewhere.

I use them to mute the audio and shut the IDrive screen off since I have an aftermarket nav installed.

Your car doesn't have the buttons based on the mfr. year you list.

Good that you point this out - I don't understand why people who don't have the new programmable buttons are answering.

If you're referring to the steering wheel buttons programmed through the IDrive, then I do have them. My vehicle came with NAV Prep, so I have them. If your referring to a different set of buttons located somewhere else, then I was confused.

Quick Reply: Anyone use the idrive programmable buttons?
