I love the way this photo was taken. I actually have it as a screen saver (don't sue me plz) until I find out how to take the same type of picture myself of my 530i. I just can't seem to remember who the member is that took the photo. Call it old age the memory is the second thing to go. Thanks guys see you on March 8th.

It not as difficult as it looks, all you need is a camera with a Wide Angles Lens

That's a nice wide angle shot of the interior.

My Ride: 2004 BMW 530i - no mods. Pretty basic really. I mean it has tires, windows, and a sweet look, what more could a man want? Honestly, I'd like to improve the sound system mildly, and possibly find a worthy engine mod that would increase my BHP by 100 without giving an arm and a leg for. I don't think it's out there, so I'll stay stock and love driving my 530i.

That's more than just a wide area lense. At best it's a 12mm lense with a fisheye adapter on a tripod - very stable to achive that sharpness. Below different angle, but I used a Nikon D70 dSLR with a 18 - 70mm lense. Shot at 18mm - no fish eye. It wasn't processed so it lacks sharpness, but it should give an idea of what 18mm can do. If interested today I'll attempt to get a similar position to the image you linked, I'll have to do it at 18mm since it's the least my camera does.

Ok, so it's not natural sunlight - florescent, and my car isn't clean at all compared to the original. I had to tweek the image a little, but did it quickly to get it posted. It seems the 18mm might be enough, but I'd need to spend time with better angles. Here's the exif data on the photo:

Shutter Speed: 15 seconds wide open at f/7.1, ISO 100, at 18mm.

I used the armrest in up position, and sat the camera on that. I used an IR remote to snap the photo. Anyway it can be achieved, but with some time. Now I need a sunny day, and clean car for better results :-)
