It seems we are all getting close but this bluetooth VPC question might delay things. Mine is en route - docks in Charleston, SC next week (10/5).

I guess I am just wondering what the possibilities of getting held up in VPC are???

I'd say the chances are good to great it will be held up. My 05 arrived at the VPC on the 21st and was scheduled to leave on the 24th....today is the 29th and it's still there.

Hey 300TTto545 - sorry for the rookie question - how do you know when your 5er docks? Mine is listed as "En Route" on Owner's Circle, but no mention of an ETA.

Thanks,

Pat

Answer to the question regarding shipping info....

If your vehicle is shipped with WW shipping (50/50 shot since they use 2 different companies) you can type in the VIN (from Owner's circle) and "track" it so to speak. It tells you the ship it is on and the docking schedule...

Thanks for the help folks - my VIN worked on the WW site. It hits port (Charleston) on Oct 5th!

My coworkers M3 took about a week after that to make it to the dealer. The waiting is tough - I hope the Bluetooth updates don't hold the car up!

Hello Gents, I have another .02 to add to this subject. My power has been out for the last 4 days due to Hurricane Jeane. I was going through major forum withdrawl. I called my CA who had previously told me that my 05 545 had been released from the VPC on 9/22 and would arrive at the dealership 0n 9/25. He told me that my car had not been released and would not be until 10/08. He said that all 05 V8 cars were being held at the VPC until that time because emission certification by the EPA. Can anyone confirm this? Since I wasn't connected I didn't know about the BT issues. It seems every GD car I order gets stuck at the VPC for 3 weeks

I have checked WW shipping and put my VIN number in. It didn't show anything. Does anyone else know what the other shipper is?

Looking at the specs in your car I wouldn't expect more then 3 days in there. You did not order any blue tooth or anything that is conflicting at this point. The ones that ordered bluetooth are being held up to get it working.

The other shipping line is K-Line (Kawasaki-something-something). THey have a web site but no tracking available. Sorry. Just bug the hell out of your CA thats what he gets paid for.
