My Ride: 2004 530i, Silver Gray, Premium Pkg, Cold Weather package, Black Leather seats with lumbar support, Poplar wood finish.
Mods: M6 19" wheels with 245/35/19 Front Tires 275/30/19 Rear Tires, K&N Filter, H&R Sway bars, Magnaflow Muffler, Sprint Booster, Black front grill, M-tech front bumper, Debadged
key is to get the correct tires. The first season I had my E60 RWD, I tried to drive with my stock all-season Contis. That didn't go too well though they say the all-seasons can handle mud + snow.
Regardless of tires, be careful when there is ice beneath the snow, even the snow tires will slip. I got a pair of cable chains for this year..just in case
Looking like this here already = Lots of fun with the E60! (not on icy lake yet, but soon yes

We got an inch of snow here yesterday. I was nowhere with my e60 rolling on "high performance summer tires" and turning off ESP would send me into instant spin and i could not drive off without ESP kicking in
But hey.. what do you expect with 600nm of torque at 2000rpm
