Hi, is there anyone ever driven your E60 RWD during the snow? how was it?

I just got my first E60 RWD, and bought the snow tire set waiting for the snow season.
anyone had that experience can share it here?

someone told me that the BMW RWD ever drives better the some FWD vehicles

really ??? or they just too crazy about the Bimmer..

With proper winter tires the car handles snow really well. I drive it all winter here in Chicago with no issues.

Until I bought my 530xi my previous BMW were all RWD. With proper tires you should be able to handle all except the severe of snow conditions. That said, I see you're in NY; If I'm not mistaken, when conditions dictate snow tires are mandatory. And, unlike the old days, expert winter drivers mount proper snows on all 4 wheels. Last piece of advice, never try to "over drive" your equipment and driving ability.

I have in my M5. Of course, this was with Blizzak LM-25's on my stock 166's. Car handled great, but I no longer drive it in the snow -- the car doesn't like salt.

I have the snow tire set on my FX35 RWD. it's really drive better than my Maxima in the snow. Maybe the FX is really heavy,

really want to try but also not want to try how the BMW RWD doing in snow..

with snow tires, RWD will OUThandle the FWD. Nothing beats AWD with snow tires but RWD is just so much more fund IMO.

I drove my 550 daily, dropping off and picking up my kids, running errands and losing losers in my rear view mirror (JK)...

Rear wheel drive is fine in the snow, dont even sweat it.

My 550 is the daily driver here in Denver. With a good set of snow tires (preferably 17? or 18? non-staggered) the car handles just as well if not better than any front wheel drive car. When you want to have a little fun you can easily kick out the backend.

The only restriction is how deep the snow gets? unless there's a mod to attach a snow plow through the front tow hook!
