Some people don't like it (not a whole lot of those people ) some people like it, but say it wasn't as stunning as they expected (only a few of those) most people love it!

I'll sell you my SB V1, but that's only because I picked up the V2.

Let me say this - I was in the recent group purchase with KREED_550i, just installed it a week ago and LOVE it; however, on the higher setting my car is way to "jumpy" for normal driving. Let me throw in this disclaimer - I also own a 2001 convertible vette 6 speed that has been modded and dyno'd just over 400HP and my '07 550 lunges on the high setting to a point that the vette feels smoother when I mash it. I drive it on the green setting (medium) and I am incredibly happy, so if anyone says it isn't what they think it is make sure it is a SB v2 as it KICKS BUTT!

Just need to feather it on the high setting.

just got mine Version 2 and i must say i love it, I drive it around town in the green mode. The red mode is a little jumpy, but its great when you really want to push it. In my opinion, its brings the car alive.

I've never tried the V2, so I'm slightly outdated in this review. However, I had a SB on my manual 530 and got rid of it. I like the car better without it, to be honest. But having had a SB on the car opened my eyes to how to get the better performance out of the car. I originally was going to get the SB v2 or the Velocity unit, but after having driven the car for almost a year without the SB, I'm really happy with the way it performs.
I may do an ECU remap in the future, so it will sort of take care of any lag in the pedal anyway. Plus, I've been considering a bored throttle body as well. Since my engine's limited in terms of power, I'd rather do a real mod that adds power and torque, than spend the money on a SB, which does nothing but change the pedal mapping. I do have a manual car though, so it feels more direct to begin with.
Hope this helps somehow.

I bought my car with the sprint booster installed (545i 6-speed) and it was hard to start in 1st. I felt like a 6-MT noob since I had to really focus to get a smooth 1st gear start, and I've only owned manual transmission cars my entire life. It would either rev too high or my car would buck like a bronco or a combination of both. I took it off out of boredom one day and couldn't be happier. Bottom line, I hate it. I don't have any acceleration lag that I hear about but then again my car isn't stock and I removed the CDV (not gas pedal related but smoother clutch engagement).
I would compare the sprint booster to the E46 M3 sport mode but even more sensitive on the gas. The E46 M3 you can turn it on and off, the E60 w/ sprint booster is on 24/7. Not fun to drive around in LA traffic.

I guessed there aren't a whole alot of people who don't like the SB and I understand why now. I just picked up the v2 tonight (never had v1 before) and installed it. I set to medium (green) mode and to me, that is the perfect setting in terms of pedal sensitivity. I find the race mode too sensitive thus shortens the pedal distance from close to open all the way a bit too much. I just find it dumb that all of us have to purchase the SB when the pedal sensitivity should have been set to be somewhat closer to the medium setting when they built our cars in the first place. Anyways at least most of us are happy with what the product can do. I now have a few more questions.....
1. I like the medium setting so much and can't see myself switching back and forth between different modes. I actually unplugged the adjustment harness so that I'll be using medium setting at all times. Just wondering if you guys do the same thing? (I know, I just downgraded my SB from v2 back to v1 ) I just don't like the idea of having these aftermarket devices mounted/hanging anywhere in a 5er.
2. For those of you who had SB v1 and upgraded to v2, would you say v1 is closer to the medium setting or race setting for v2?
3. I find that a SB would benefit an auto equipped car alot more than a manual one, do you "standard" guys agree? Any thoughts?
BTW.....thanks for all your responses.
