Anybody knows about ZGM problem in E60? Need help :(
Hi peeps,
After repairing my valve body in my e60, i encountered another problem..
Went to bmw dealer to get my program updated after repairing my valvebody. After waiting for some hours, the mechanic said that they were not able to open the gateway to programming because the data from ZGM do not match my chassis number. ( did i say it correctly?) , they tried other ways to get it open, but they failed.
The only reason that they can think of, is that the original ZGM from my car was broken and the previous owner instead of ordering the original part from BMW dealer, bought ZGM from other car and plugged it in. They said the data on the ZGM was blank, so computer cant match the data...
So basically, i cant update new program, i cant coding for AUX audio, and some other things....however, reseting faults, diagnostics, reseting adaptations, can still be done...
Anybody here have any experiance with this sort of thing? Can the ZGM be programmed, or manipulated?
They said for ordering new ZGM will required my chassis number and around $2000
So......i will appreciate it if any of you have any experiance with this issue....
Cheers
