Did it show up under load?

A good rim repair shop should be able to repair and (if necessary) refinish your wheel. Maybe someone "local" can recommend a shop for you.

There is a mobile rim repair service here in Jax that i'll call on Monday. I'll report later.

Yep, hairline crack should be an easy fix for any reputable wheel shop. Do you have a pic of the crack? Sometimes if the crack is along the direction of travel, wheel shops may not want to repair it. Good luck.

If they say it's not the tire, it's not the tire. What I would do is jack the car from the ground so there is no pressure on the tire and fill it to correct PSI. It could be a valvestem leak. OR it could be the changes in weather. Every few months 3-4 my tires loose 20 psi on both vehicles due to changes in weather. Currently I was experiencing the same problem as you with my driver's side rear tire. But I did the above and all seems well and maybe I lose 10psi every 2-3 weeks. I run about 42-43 psi in my 50 psi max tires. I have 40psi valve caps on and when I see it slightly getting yellow I check the tire.
As a rule we should all probably check tires weekly just in case. Why not? I check my motorcycle tires before each ride!

READ SIDEWALL FIRST!!!

Just do this to start with ........Jack up the car on that side, deflate tire to around 10 psi or so and then get some soapy water...like dawn or something and wash the sidewalls front and back and get them nice and wet and soapy. Now fill up with the bead seating psi recommended on the sidewall while it's wet. It may be about 10psi under the recommended psi. If there isn't any just go close to your max psi but not quite there. You never want to ride a tire on the max psi good way to ruin your suspension components and have rough ride.
Let the soap dry before putting tire back on the ground. See if that helps you issue and report back to us.
Good luck.

EDIT: sry after reading, didn't realize you found hairline crack. Easy fix would be to scuff the area and apply some JB Weld to it with a small water painting brush. This will hold. Trust me, It's held flash hiders and suppressors on an AR15 with 2000 rounds through it afterwards and fixed a cracked engine block! Unmount the tire and take the rim home. Make repair and take back to mount tire back on. Ask them to do the above....which should be standard for them anyway.

The cracks were repaired (both) and the wheel was slighly bent in both areas of the crack. Cracks and bends were directly opposite to each other. Took it to Kwicksilver Wheel repair here in JAX. They trued the wheel after re-welding the cracks and got the wheel back to me the next day. Real nice weld job and I highly recommend them. Total cost $225.00.
Originally though about going the JB route but I need to take the car to Savanna tomorrow and didn't need the headache of loosing air while on the road.

those look like scratches! very odd that these hairline cracks cracked vertically and not horizontally. I guess depends on the wheel one peice/two etc...just a very strange crack. What type of wheel was it again?

we had a metal valve stem seal/grommet leaking, the kind used for tire pressure sensors. was a simple fix once determined there was absolutely not a tire issue, next time i'll have the stem checked first.

Strikes me you are playing with fire here. If a cracked wheel rotates 1000 rpms, with 1,000 lbs or more on it, when nearly 1/6 of its width is cracked, you may have a catastrophic experience...Can't see a simple weld, against these forces, putting you back into the "safe" category.
