Keeping all my options open, but looking for shops in San Diego who can do installs and coding, and any other good things I might need for my ride. I've been out the game for awhile since the first Import Showoff competitions back in the days.

Check out Solely Bimmer in Mission Viejo, those guys took good care of me at a fair price.

Chad and his guys are pretty cool, and they LOVE Bimmers (obviously)

Euroautospot all the way! Great service.
If you need paint and body work....there's 2M Autowerks/Autobody. They painted my mtech kit and it turned out awesome! David and Richard are the owners/brothers. Khris handles the business end.
Both are located in the Miramar area.

EuroAutoSpot is decent, has a master tech and the right computers, and great prices. Experience is so-so.
BMW Service Specialist (both Miramar and Downtown on India Street) is sort of fair, but overpriced, and occasionally shady (they zip-tied my e39s Xenon leveling sensor back to the dogbone, after they broke the mount, and didn't tell me). Overall very experienced, though.
BMW San Diego sucks big time, and are the rudest individuals I have ever dealt with. South County is so-so, although I will recommend BMW Encinitas if you MUST go to the stealer- They at least treat you well, and have tons of loaners.
AutoHaus Munich is shady and dirty inside, and doesn't have full computer equipment for programming and registering parts.
Dieters is big and well equipped, although very high-priced, and really no better than the dealer.
The absolute best is La Jolla Independent- they're master techs, have all the required special tools and computers, and are a bit cheaper than the dealer. Very cool guys, though, and unassuming.
That's where I've been, but do most of my own work.

APEX MOTORSPORTS in Clairemont. CALL THE OWNER BEN FLORES 858-751-0710. Been going to him since late 90's he is probably the most knowledgeable BMW mechanic in San Diego. Seriously other shops call him for questions. Honest and reliable. I have had 4 beemers in that time and he has helped me with all of them including my current ride.
If you want a personal referral over the phone, send me a PM.
Cheers,
Scott
