holding down the dsc button for about 5 seconds turns off all types of traction control/stability control....

and i have a 525i and although i push the car alot i say that i get a "little" rubber burnt. i can do it in any turn but not with the steering wheel facing straight ahead. only way in a straight line is to brake toruqe and probably just a couple of feet of wheel spin, unless the road is wet, dirty, or worn out...

your model is a 525xi.. so it has 4wd and so the car diffrentials move the power to the wheel(s) with the most traction so you get most of the power of your engine on the road, so even with all the traction controls off you would have difficulty spinning the rear wheels...

and people please no body say that the 525 doesnt have the power to burn rubber im sure some one will...

don't need a powerful engine. my 520d has loads of torque and with the triangle on, I get a good spin if I want to...so much that the auto airco switches to recylcing mode , but with with DTC companion.... only blue skies

Actually, I lied above. I only did it once, and I didn't inhale.
But that's the best part!

I don't inhale unless I am watching top fuel.

Znod...u know u have a problem...
but i think. you dont want to fix it perhaps your afraid the dealer will screw something up...
but it seems like a simple software upgrade...
kinda funny if my car gets more wheel spin than yours...
get it fixed and lets see some of your record breaking starts...

Um, correct me if I'm wrong, but you have a AWD car with a 6 cyl normally aspirated engine.....and therefore, you will not be able to spin the tires unless you find some wet grass AND turn off your DSC

A software update is what messed my car up in the first place. But, it still is very fast, without spinability, so I have been in no hurry to have another software update. Note that a PUMA case was opened on my car with no solution, except "tough," coming from the engineers. But, I have a couple of problems now that will require an update--which I'll do when I get around to it. Maybe my spinability will come back. Then it'll beand .
