I just turned 80K miles on my '05 545i. No major or minor problems for that matter. I had a slight hesitation, but at the recommendation of my local s.a., I ran a bottle of techron threw it and what a difference. Found a local indy shop to take care what ever may come up. Oil changes at 7,500 miles, get it out on the freeway and run it. I really enjoy my E60. I am also hoping for many miles from this car, nothing else I drive comes close to it.

'08 528i - 58k - just routine maintenance . plan to keep it another year or two and trade it in for a 550i or M5! just not the F10, not liking it or it just hasn't grown on me yet

July 2010 I purchased my 2004 530i with 73k miles. I just hit 102k miles and it still runs and drives perfect. The only maintenance I've done since I purchased it was the scheduled oil change and the scheduled spark plug change at 100k. Its my first BMW and definitely not my last. Best car I've ever had.

Great to read so many posts. People tend to think cars in general incinerate at 100k lol.

e39.....345,000 miles
e60 530d......268,000 miles wrote it off.

current model e60 535d....211,000 hope its good for another 200,000 miles engines bulletproof. Must confess i spent a few quid on a gt1. And these cars are all electronics i figure it will pay for itself at the end of the day.

Much written about the dpf, i bought this car at around 100,000 miles and its not had one!

Did you flush the 'lifetime' transmission fluid? BMW says it's lifetime.....

I haven't done anything to the transmission as of yet. I have wondered about that and the dealer has made no mention of it (however, they did include a list of $5k worth of other things they thought needed addressed) the few times I have been there. I do have a leaking sensor sleeve I will be changing this summer which will involve changing the fluid.

121000 on my 04 545i6
still drives great! I got underneath to do my first oil change expecting the worst... no leaks that I could see!!
Car still drives like new... handles great!
the only things i notice is the shifter is pretty sloppy... and the adaptive headlights dont work they go up and down... but the light flashes...;( oh well.
