Any good shops in the Chicagoland area?

Hi everyone,

The title basically says it all. Are there any good BMW shops in the Chicagoland area? I called 2 BMW independents and they both didn't want to deal with the e60. Who doesn't want to take money?

I usually do the work myself but I don't have as much time has I used to. I need to start with my rear wheel bearing, they are loud and rust fused to the axel. After that I want to upgrade my MASK to a CIC system because it is dying and I think the cause of my random power drain.

Thanks!

CIC is old technology. Mr 12volt is a better choice.

Confused how an Indy shop refused to work on some simple hubs. Do they not do mechanic work? I do know a lot of people don't like working on E series vehicles because it's a lost skill.

It's probably not that they didn't want to take money. A lot of new Indys really don't know how to (or want to) work on older BMWs.

Thanks for mentioning Mr 12volt, I had to look them up to see what they offer. It looks like they don't offer a complete replacement which is what I need because my MASK unit is failing. I was able to pick up a CIC unit with the complete center console, updated HVAC controls, screen, etc. cheap and I am looking forward to installing it once I have the info I need.
