Do 06 530i come with a BMW CD? I seem to recall some people mention a (explaination-type?) CD that came with the car. My dealer thought it came with the car, then suggested maybe it didn't when he couldn't find it

Actually, I got the CD along with a welcome package by mail several weeks after I took delivery of my car, so maybe yours will come in the mail.

I think I remember receiving both a CD (CD-ROM) and a DVD with the car and another welcome package in the mail. The discs that came with the car were sort of like a video owner's manual.

The DVD .iso was uploaded to Busta's website a while ago but I don't think his site is using the name and password that he originally set up for us.

Maybe Busta can chime in and let us know what's up with his site?

I picked up my car on October 26th. The only CD-type item I received was the DVD disk for the Navigation. No other CD; however, as some have already noted, there is something that you should get in the mail in a couple of months that folks are calling a "Welcome to BMW" package that comes with a DVD. My friend just got hers. The DVD cover shows the new M5 and M6.


Oh, one other thought:

Did your car come with the start/stop button? Mine did. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the 2006 manual included explanation of the new key fob and the start/stop button. The manual also referred to the 525, 530i, 530xi, and 550i.

These manuals are quite new and maybe the CD's that are to reflect the same info were not yet produced.

Just a thought.

Mine came with the start/stop. I was surprised also, because of all the talk about some Sept production cars coming without it. I also didnt get a CD when I picked it up , just the DVD.

BTW: My car DID come with start/stop, it was a wk40 (beg oct) built. The strange thing is, the lawyer screen will not go away without button push. I've seen people here say their lawyer screen went away with the latest SW. Do you guys think I missed out on the latest SW or could it be my SW is one step ahead that they put the damn lawyer back to work

Nevermind, did some more searching and apparently, the lawyer screen WILL NOT disappear for cars with NAV or for latest version of SW, not sure which (according to das).

My 06 e60 did come with the CD. My sales gave it to me along with the manual booklets.
I bought the car for 3 monthes now, I haven't receive any "Welcome BMW package" yet.
