Hello,

After have driven 48000 km with the factory runflat tires, I need to change my tires.
Yesterday I had the tire-puncture warning. After having called BMW Service and having checked the tires, it seemed they didn't have enough pressure.
Anyway I was planning to get new tires (initially I would have taken RFT's)
I asked the service guy about the runflat-tires... he told me I should definatly get the normal (non runflat tires). The RFT are too hard, and after driven your car to the nearest dealer with RFT after a puncture, the tire is mostly ready to be thrown away.

So my question to you guys out there is...
Has anyone swapped their RFT to Non-RFT for 124-wheels?
What tires did you take? And what's your experience with the new tires.
Thanks alot!

I swapped out 2 front tires from Dunlop Sport 01 DSST to Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 (245/40/18 $560 installed).
The ride is much quieter now. I am planning to swap out rear tires in about 10K more miles.

Other good tires:
Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3
Bridgestone S-03

Don't believe the hype. Non RFs are fine - finding a dealer to fit them could be hard...

I'll be looking at F1's myself
