Visited with my sister yesterday and sat in my soon to be 2006 525xi. Metallic grey looks almost silver as a base color and I love the BMW Silver. Car is completely stock and yes, the head light move with the road and has angel eyes, how cool. There must be some base Mod's to start with and of course I don't mind used forum classified hardware. Should I do the following...
1. Reset the computer as I need the car to learn my style of driving as my sister drives like an old lady. 2. Acquire a used Magnaflow muffler only because I'm looking for a Grrooooowl sound. Sounds like a kitten purrrring the present time. 3. Possible computer chip for extra power. Forum notes under power out of factory. 4. Possible K&N air intake as I've read a bit about the bulky factory hardware. Subtle simple mods can make a big difference as most of you know. I'll be paying 21K and have a 7 year/70K extended warranty. The tires are the Continental 225/50/17 Radial touring |

One more question....I looked under the car and the exhaust looks like a 3" ODI/width of pipe? Lot's of exhaust air flow is a good thing isn't it? |

Yeah but what do I search for? Do I type in "automatic transmission adapting to how the car is driven"? :help:

BMWs are complex automobiles ... while you await actually driving one you MUST read the owners manual. It's actually available in the "information section" of this forum. https://5series.net/information/ The owners manuals are extensive but will answer many questions about features, functions, and how-to's ... So for now this is all I have time for - but I'm confident the next time you have a question about BMWs you'll be better equipped to hunt down the information and be a well-informed forum participant. But when you really really get stuck and have exhausted your own hunt for answers your questions will be welcome. Good luck when you finally get your e60. |
