My rear driver side window close then pops back open. Anti-Trap message came on the idrive but went away. Anybody knows of a solution?

I guess resetting the anti-trap function will fix it.
Check the owner's manual for instructions . - Antti - |
This is off the top of my head but with the window rolled up you press down on the button to open the window and without letting go keep pressing down for 20 sec. Then pull up and let the window close all the way up before releasing the button. That should do it.

Thanks for the help

I had a similar problem where both the driver and front passenger windows would go up, close, then go back down. This would especially happen on warm days. I tried the resetting method to no avail. While the car was still under warranty I took it in to get fixed while getting the oil changed. Of course it didn't happen at that time. When I go to pick up the car it happens. Dealer changed motors on both windows and I never have had a problem since.

I have had this fault on my M5 a few times. It's been very intermittent though, and I just live with it! Really isn't that big a deal for me to get worried about as it only happens once in a while. I certainly wouldn't go and buy new motors to fix it! However, that's just me! If your fault is happening more often that once every so often, and is more persistent, then I'd go and try your luck at the stealers and trying to get BMW to pay for the motor's out of goodwill, or warranty if you still have one or have extended it etc.
