Hi,

2 days ago, I got this message "Anti trap deactivated" and then my driver side front window would not go up automatically. I seldom roll down the windows. How did this happen ?? Another computer glitch ??

Any comment is apprecaited.

Occasionally does that... It's a design feature!

I think they're a bit sensitive to protect your fingers etc...

I've also seen that this could be a software bug. What version are you running? My SA said that there were issues with older S/W versions so an update might help here?

Fairly common problem. Do a search--there's a way to reinitiailize the affected window--try that before going to dealer.

Had the same problem, dealer said it was the software. They had the car for a day and fixed it with an update.

I haven't had any software upgrade since day 1. So it could be an old software bug.

I will try to lower all windows and see what will happen ...

Thanks,

Mine had the same "error" when I picked it up from the dealer last week.

Both, rear windows had the problem.

How I "fixed":

Go to each door that is in "error":
Lower the window (mine was stopping after about 3"), continue to hit the button, until the window is completely lowered and hold down the button for 5 secs.

Raise the window (mine, again, was stopping after about 3"), continue to raise the window, until the window is completely raised and hold the button for about 5-10 secs.

Repeat for each door....then "error" has been gone ever since....

Just picked up my car from dealer for oil change, anti-trap deactivated, sunroof making cracking sound when closed from tilt position, and tons of I-Drive issues. Dealer also replaced the wiper blades for me. They upgraded the software and now, radio is off if I turned it off before shutting down the car. I need to reconnect my blue tooth phone. Dealer didn't say the software version number on the invoice. Dealer reinitializied the windows to get rid of the anti-trap message. Sunroof sound issue was due to loose clips.

Try reinitalizing your windows... not sure if it will fix it but worth a try.

I believe this is the process... can anyone confirm?

Roll them all the way down then roll them all the way up by HOLDING the switch (*not by auto up*) and then continue to hold it up for 3 extra seconds... that should reinitalize it.
