Okay, so in order to mount my 18" Winter 135 rims, that worked just fine as is on my '06 550, on my '08 550i I am spending well over $300. That is to pay for the TPMS sensors, valve stems, installation, remounting and balancing of my rims. For that money I figured I would now have on my BMW what my Father has on his Caddy, the ability to see a digital read out of tire pressure in each of my tires. I mean, c'mon, I spent the money. Can't there be anything cool that the car will be able to do that my '06 could not. The answer is sadly, no. My SA informed me that specific tire pressure reading could not be obtained through iDrive so I am stuck spending that money simply so the flat tire idiot light won't be on all Winter. Like I said, my Dad's Caddy has it, why can't my BMW?? Damn it.
