There are many discussions regarding the best tires for e60. I know a lot of people like Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 and Goodyear Eagle F1, it's a no brainier.

But I don't drive a Ferrari and I prefer not to spend close to 300 bucks per tire. I do drive above the average compare with most drivers, but I don't cut corners like a crazy teenager anymore.

Speed rating is not an issue, most tires are Z rated anyway. I'm looking for a tire that cost around $150 each, anyone have good suggestions??

Here are my priorities for the tires:
1. Ride/Noise Comfort
2. Traction/Steering Response
3. Tredwear

Honestly only one choice Falken fk452. Super quiet tire, good traction, and excellent treadwear.

I heard that Nitto NT 555's are really good. You'll have to increase your budget, but not as much as PS2's. Anybody who has the Nitto's care to chime in?? I might get me a set once mine go bald.

Thanks Michael...

I have the Nitto 555's, but I recommend the Falken 452's. Please PM me for pricing shipped to you. Thank you.

Funny story, well sort of. My gf was riding in my car and I just got my Falken's on. I said "girlfriend do you hear how quiet the tires are?" she said "what the hell are you talking about?" i tried to explain tire noise on the road, she thought i was crazy. the next day after she has been driving her car, "omg my tires are soooo loud."

no she tries to go around telling other people about tire noise and everyone thinks she is crazy too.

Falken aren't bad at all. BF Goodrich G-force sport usually sells in that range also with a 340 tread rating. Dunlop's also usually have a tire in that range also.

If your looking for even longer tread life then you'd have to look at something like General Exclaim's will give you one of the longest tread wears of 380 and there under the $150 mark by quite a bit a tire.

Check out the Goodyear Eagle F1 all season they run in that $160 to $190 range with 420 tread rating when I was checking on them for 545i with sport package.

+ 1 on the General Exclaim UHP's. I just put these on my OEM 166 wheels. I really like the tires. They got great reviews from Tire Rack. Best bang for the buck!! They were on back order, but I waited until they were back in stock before getting my wheels. The price is right for what you are looking to spend.
