I finally decided to pull the trigger and test out the sprint booster everyone raves about and it was by far the best $300 I have spent on the car. I came from a G37 6MT with a very touchy throttle so the throttle lag on my 550i was really unacceptable. The car had plenty of power but in order to reach it I had to floor the damn thing. The sprint booster completely changed how the car drives and feels.
I installed it yesterday and took me about 20 minutes. Took a little time to stuff all the wiring behind the pedal, hide the wiring for the switch and find a good mounting location. Overall I give it a 1 on the install difficulty scale and a 10/10 product score. I really love how there is now a button to choose off, street and race modes. The red is really fun but a little too touchy for driving to work when my foot is still asleep but I can really see myself using it over the weekend and my next canyon run. The green is really how the car should have come from the factory. Couldn't be happier

Yes it is one of the best mods you can do for the driving experience!!!
Funny story the other day i was getting gas...i know real surprise in a V8. well i think my knee must of hit the S/B button and turned it off because after pulling out of the gas station i swore my car went into limp mode! So after driving for a few minutes and pulling over to check the idrive i noticed the S/B was off, WOW what a difference. Put back on Green and the car came back to life!!! For sure how it should have felt from the factory!

Not surprised! it makes a huge difference. It doesn't give you more power but it sure does feel like it!
