My stupid friend spilled some of those liquid air refreshners on my dashboard, right on the plastic part around the TEMP control for the front passenger This morning I saw the plastic all peeled off and looking ugly and messed up I'm taking the car in for a service in two days. Will the warranty cover it? I remember I took my girlfriend's car to Audi with the same problem on the dashboard and they fixed it with no problems under the warranty.

If your dealer will work with you anything can be replaced under warranty.

My pet dog doesn't even ride in the 5. After hearing all these stories about friends, I don't think I'm gonna let me friends near my car.

Well, just a heads up, the reason your girlfriends audi was taken care of so easily is because it was a well known problem on the border of becoming a recall for window switches and certain other interior parts peeling. I know that side pretty well

The fix should not be covered by your warranty, but, if the fix is easy and inexpensive, then your dealer might do it anyway. Good luck; I am sure the ugliness is not fun to see.

One thing is for sure is to have your good firends a lesson. I have 2 good friends and i always told them and lectured them from the begining that whenever they enter my car to pls be carefull not to put the foot on the door seals or around that area...put the foot right inside, and when they get off to put the foot right on the pavement not to scratch the side skirts. Also in my car smoking is forbidden and i keep an eye on things when friends drink sodas or whatever. If a friend can understand that, and respect you as they have the respect for new things and gorgeaus cars then all is ok. I am happy that i have 2 of those friends. And let me tell u another thing, neither of them would even consider driving the car like a lunatic if they have the chance of driving it. Also i am very carefull with things that i don't own. On test drives i'm quite carefull not to race that car too much simply because it's not mine and smth can go wrong and i don't want the blame for it.
