Hi.

Sorry to be starting another Angel Eyes thread. I have been trawling through tons of threads and just want to make certain!
I have a 2005 E60, (pre LCI). No Xenons, just standard lights. (European)
Some of the white (LED?) lights look great, and I'm wondering if this is something I can do easily myself, without fitting a conversion kit.

It looks like I might just need to get 4 501 LED bulbs. Is this true?
I don't know what HID is, but I keep seeing that everywhere!
I have seen 501 bulbs on ebay for about $3, so not sure if this is an option.

I'd like a good white set, quite bright, but don't want to spend much on it, so not top of the range.
Any tips?
And what are the options for my normal full lights too? Without going for a Xenon conversion?

Sorry to be bringing it back to an Idiots Guide!

Thanks,
Ross.

Just contact John (brabusw209amg) he has the LED bulb you need to change that yellowish orange ring to white.
Heres the thread for the new Mtec V2.1 going for $135.

You can only get HID for LCI headlights.

What does HID mean?
Is it just 4 bulbs that I'd need to do the job?
Thanks.

I too have pre LCI Halogen headlights and could not install angel eye mods such a mtec v2.1 etc... as a result, Jon (brabusw209amg) put together some bright LED's with resistors which I installed as my angel eyes and then i installed HID (high intensity discharge) lamps for my low bean and fog lights.

Now everything is bright and white!

Thanks Mark.

So you installed LED bulbs for your Angel Eyes. Sounds like what I'm after. Do you know what ones they were?

My current lights.... OK, not a good picture!

I'm basically wondering if something like in the 2 links below would work:

Hi Guys, any ideas on what bulbs to get if you already have adaptive xenons? i would like the brighter (not blue) look on my car for the rings. i really love the LCI look, the brighter inner ring during daytime running lights looks really cool. thanks

I saw this quote in another thread...
Since you have the Xenon Headlights, your options are either Umnitza angel eyes or AngeliBright upgrade.
