Woke up this morning - did the usual routine. Got dressed, went and started the car and came back inside. Nothing major.

10 minutes later, i get in my car and of seatbelt chime is beeping, which is strange because usually it starts after the car has been moved! It was beeping constanly, so i put my son in the car in a hurry and left the house. Put the seatbelt on, and popped in a CD like i always do. Shortly after, im still hearing the damn chime and its still on my dash telling me to buckle me seatbelt. Its 5 in the morning and i really thought i was going crazy. I unbuckle and buckle it again and the shit is still beeping. WTF? Needless to say, this bitch beeped the whole 70 miles to work!!!!!!! I mean, damn.

I didnt think anymore about it, went to lunch and its still doing the same thing. I did the "system check" - System OK.

I knew i couldnt go home today with this thing beeping the whole way. Called the Performance Center and he said it's a computer glitch, and would take 48 hours for the software to reload??

I left it there and got a 328i sedan.

Has anyone else had this problem. Mine is an '09 528i. Hopefully i will have it back friday!!

Sorry to hear, hope it gets resolved first time for you.

My wife's X3 has started randomly displaying the seat belt light/chime and after a very annoying drive I got it to stop by plugging in the passenger seat belt - and there was no one or nothing on the seat. I will have to take it in......

70 mile commute.....
I work from home. The trip from my bedroom to my office takes about 2 minutes, sometimes 3 if I hit traffic in the kitchen.
