Only when driving on rough roads, i hear an small but annoying rattling sound that seems to be coming from Driver side air vent located on the left side of the steering wheel. Has anyone encountered this? And how hard is it to remove that part of the dash board to have a look behind the vent grill?
FYI, my warranty just expired.
Thanks..

Just for sure, check that it's not the two little buttons on the end of the cruise switch
.
However, if it's the air vent, you need to remove the light switch panel and then you have an access to 2 screws that are holding the air vent panel. To remove the light switch panel, you will have to push a flat screwdriver under the edge and lever it out. It can be a PITA, as it's held in place with 4 metal clips.
But I'm still voting for the little buttons on the cruise switch.

I finally located a rattle that sounds like a bottle bumping against metal. Slide the moon roof visor back and place your hand up at the front under the glass cover. There is a metal piece that moves up and down when the sun roof opens and it was rattling (only when I hit a bump or on rough roads). It was driving me crazy!
Hope this helps someone.

Try to stuff something soft behind the buttons to prevent them moving freely. I think many members have done something like this for their rattling buttons.
