annoying continiuos beep!
 

hi all
i have a 2003 e60 530d which i love driving!

i bought it about 6 months ago n for the past 4 months my car has had a really annoying beep sounding like the pdc does when ur to close to something,

it does it for 10 seconds as the car is started n when im driving will come on randomly for 30secs to 5 mins n its pretty damn annoying

the weird thing is it doesnt display any fault codes at all, ive tried resetting the pdc's , it not the hourly chime either!

it does it every time i start but not all the time when im driving??

does anyone know anything about this??

Although this is an E39, maybe one of the sensors are faulty?

Is there a fuse for the PDC that you can pull and see if you still get the tone? This would isolate it to that system, right?

thanks for the replys, not sure about the fuse but will have a look at the sensors! the beep from that e39 is very similar but mine randomly comes on for like 5mins at a time! so pretty damn annoying lol

will have a look n post when or if i get it sorted
