Default Angel Lights are not so Bright (Pics)

Hi

I have just upgraded my pre Lci Light to Lci projector lights , I have fitted some aftermarket Xenon kit which is perfectly fine, But angel lights are not so bright at all, even after fitting 10w Angel light bulbs..

I think standard BMW angel lights will be much brighter then this..

In the dark it shows quite bright but at the day time you can hardly tell if its on..!!!

You won't get extremely bright lights like in the new F07/F10/F30 series without a drastic change such as the Orion kit.

Yeah LED will have less light output compare to the standard good 'ole halogen H8 on LCI AE ... for the best of both day/night time just better off using standard halogen H8 with whiter light color as oppose to LED.

Hi
Thanks for the reply ,Orion kit is the one in which we have to open the headlight, Right?
Has anyone done it any write up?
I have seen most of the E60 with aftermarket LEDs which are quite bright comparing to mine, how come and they have used LEDs nothing else!!

If you seen other w/ brighter LED that mean you picked the wrong one ... chk w/ the manufacture when they claimed 10w usually mean 2x5w so it's 5w each (I know there's some that do 12w each) side also use one that has multiple LEDs and the kind of LED they use like SMD or CREE.

What they do since LED mostly directional light they combine 3-4 LEDs on the tip so the light more surround and if each at 4w w/ 3 LEDS = 12w.

So that's why I don't even bother just use halogen H8 but I hacked it w/ relay for more constant voltage so no dimming w/ the main beam on ... if I want LED look Orion is the way to go anything else doesn't matter.

Also the LCI headlight you fitted are they halogen based since you mentioned you fitted Xenon aftermarket kit? 'cuz the AE for LCI Bi-Xenon will be much brighter compare to the LCI Halogen due to better AE design. If it is halogen based LCI then that would be another problem of less bright.
