Angel Eyes

Hey guys,

Hope all is well!

One of my rings (closes to the kidney grill) on my driver's side of the headlight is out. Other then the light error coming on when I start the car, it's hardly noticeable. What does that mean? Is the bulb about to go out?

Is it true that each of the headlight comes with only ONE BULB?

According to the VIN Decoder, I have Xenon adaptive headlights w/automatic headlight control & dynamic auto- leveling. My VIN is WBANE73586CM30564. https://5series.net/forums/vindecoder.php

If replacement and upgrade is necessary, what are your suggestions? I prefer only want plug and play options. Anything compatible to the OEM's wattage is fine. I really don't want to melt the light housings from extraordinary heat. :-)

Any link to your suggestion is greatly appreciated!

Have a great day!

Daniel

Daniel,

The angel eye is bad and your problem can easily be fixed if you replace it. It shouldn't take more than 15 minutes.

Thanks for the quick response, Daniel!

I bought the 10w angel eyes from Trinity Autosport and replaced them today.
Trinity Autosport : Trinity Autosport *NEW* 10W Angel Eyes 04-07 5 Series [5w_prelci] - $119.00

Once you know where they are located (behind the "ROUND" COVER!!!), all you have to do it remove the round cover, reach your hand in there, turn it (the ORANGE bulb), pull it out, disconnect the electrical connector and replace. For the record, I am 5'8, weight about 170 pound and have medium sized hand.

It's doable without having to remove the whole light assembly! Even if you have to remove the angel eye assembly (housing?), there are only four torque screws to remove.

I am glad I gave it a try without dealing with the BMW Dealer!!!!

And thank you every one for your help. LOL ;-)
