Just to give you guys some updates.
I've drop the car off this morning to fix the angel light LED.
Just had a call back from the dealer and am told there is a fault with the latest software version which will switch the angel eye off They are waiting for the instruction from BMW head office. Don't know how long this is going to take now.......

Incredible!
When mine were disabled back at 17 or something it took nearly 6 months to get them back on, when the next software version was available. Plus another day off the road. And they were not keen to fix it, said they were meant for the US market ( not UK ! ).

I can confirm the above.
Had the sunroof repaired yesterday for the "popping sound" when closing from the angle position - they also installed Progman 23.02 due to a complaint of mp3 skipping while nav was active.
+ points :
- new fonts (larger, easier to read)
- Settings has a different setup, categorised better - logically
- Fast access to the location info, traffic info and service schedules
- mp3 song titles longer and complete
- nav and mp3 playing seems smooth
* no transmission updates applicable
MINUS points :
- I have lost the angeleye's in the front. :'(
- mp3 still plays (after switching off car) - until car goes to sleep (16min)
When pointed out to the dealer their response was in the lines of :
We are (customers) definately test beds for BMWs' new software, I guess I'm fond of the darn thing so much
it doesn't bother me too much.
Was offered a new date for the the next software update and a BMW watch for the inconvenience...

IMO, BMW software will always have bugs, so :
If it ain't broken - don't fix it ?
no no no no....
If it ain't broken too much - don't fix it !
