When I took off my winter wheels last March, I noticed that some parts of the wheels (ASA JH3) had turned yellow from staining (I didnt clean the wheels often enough (once)). I put on the wheels last weekend and the stains are noticeable.
So today I decided to try to clean them and I bought "Mothers Wheel Mist All Wheel Cleaner" from my local auto store. Needless to say, I was skeptical with any cleaner that you just spray on and wash off. Much to my surprise, the stuff actually works (works even better if you scrub!).
My winter wheels are now nice and shiny!

My Ride: '04 545iS 6 spd, bought new via eBay, 11/05; Blk/Gry, Cold, L7, PDC, BMW Rear seatcover for pets.
First "Bumwa" was a new 1971 2002. High performance 5s since 1987. Beamer motorcycles too, currently on an 07 BMW K1200 GT; also a Moto Guzzi 1000 SP III.
I have used some of Mother's products on my cars and mototcycles. I find them to be very good. You also may want to try Maguires; I'm especially fond of their touchup wax spray (spritzer): Great at motrocycle rallies for that quick morning wipedown. Proabably too much acreage for use on cars, but still good stuff.
Also, the S2 (I think I have that number right) products made in Germany are excellent. I believe BMW markets their products for wheel care, etc.
Cheers,
Ray Hull
