Like half the people here, I picked silver gray. However, I think white with the auburn interior is a pretty neat combo but white has some resale value issues in certain geographies.

I love white...wanted to get white but hard to get manual tranny with white combo. I would prefer white or black as colors but like many others, silver is probably the smartest choice because its easiest to maintain and easiest to sell as well...

Excellent choice. Mine looks like this--silver gray:

Your tinting goes great with the car--much better than the black-out look!

[/quote]Thanks much. Yes, that was the idea exactly--to match the color as well as possible. The tint is called Drei, but I don't know what that means except that it matches, is pretty thick, and has good light/heat filtering properties.

I have Alpine White! I love it. I ordered the car without ever seeing a white E60. I was hesitant the day I picked up the car, but when I saw it I absolutely loved it - and still do!
I've been driving Black cars for almost 20 years with the exception of my '95 Avus Blue M3 (for a little over 1 year).
I really like White now that I have it.

the reason why I picked AW is because it makes the E60 shape stands out

so much! Everytime I walk to my car in parking lot, the butt is just BEAUTIFUL

coz you always can see the clear shape matches with red tail-light!

here is the same old pic!

Alpine white is the sickest colour there is for a bmw imo. It's the sportiest also...wanted also to get white but then after all the other people adviced me about the resale value....i got the carbon black.

I was one step from ordering in white. If in the future i will get to buy an M it would be certainly white. Period.
The biggest disadvantage of black is that you have to wash it every 2 seconds as somebody said earlier. But at night it gives that "panther went out to hunt" effect wich no colour can substitude.
My next bmw for sure will be white..hope it will be an M

Hey sufu, how 'bout investing ~$25 on the Euro Red Reflectors? It'll make the car stand out.

Alpine White with Euro Reflectors.....
