Hi Guy's,
Looking for some advice on alloys as I want to replace my current 17's for 19's.
I really like the 172's but they are quite hard to find. I have seen these on the bay... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...A:IT&ih=022
What are the cons of purchasing non-original alloys, are they ok or will I have problems?
Thanks,
Lee.

Originals (OEM) are more expensive for a reason , which isnt just related to the manufacturer trying to make more money from the buyer.
The materials and alloy tend to be stronger, more consisently made, and less porous.
I've had both replicas and original wheels on my cars over the years and the difference between a good and a bad replica can be heaven and earth.
If you buy replicas , then buy from as big a "brand" as possible , those whose reputations matter to them.
When it comes to wheels and tyres ,get the best you can afford, because they're what's holding you to the road!
